💡 Barbarians are generally considered the strongest in multiplayer due to early cavalry aggression and devastating forest ambushes. However, a skilled Roman or Egyptian player can counter them on the right map.

Barbarian Rush (Most Popular)

1. Capture the nearest 2 villages immediately
2. Recruit Warriors from both villages simultaneously
3. Send Warriors to contest the center of the map
4. Build German Cavalry as soon as honor allows
5. Ambush enemy scouts and early units in forests
6. Cavalry charge into their archers or unprotected flanks

Roman Turtle Advance

1. Capture nearby village, recruit Legionaries + Auxiliary Archers
2. Advance in Tortoise Formation toward the center
3. Establish defensive positions on high ground
4. Expand methodically, capturing villages as you advance
5. Build toward Praetorian Guards for the decisive push

Egyptian Sniper Hill

1. Rush to capture a village near high ground
2. Mass Nubian Archers on the highest terrain available
3. Screen with Soldiers of Anubis in front
4. Force the enemy to attack uphill into your archers
5. Save honor for War Elephants as the finisher

• Map control wins games. The player who controls more villages has more troops. Expand aggressively early.
• Scout EVERYTHING. Send your scout animal (Hawk/Wolf) into every forest before your army enters. Ambush prevention is critical.
• Never fight without terrain advantage. If the enemy has high ground, go around. If you have it, force the fight.
• Focus fire. Concentrate all attacks on one enemy unit at a time. Destroying units quickly causes morale cascades.
• Protect your healers. Druids (Barbarian) and Priests (Egyptian) keep your army alive between fights. Losing them means no recovery.
• Use choke points. Bridges, narrow passes, and forest edges are natural kill zones. Defend them, don't attack through them.
