Getting Started with GTA III on Mobile

GTA III on mobile is the full console experience in your pocket. The controls take some getting used to, but with the right settings and tips, you can enjoy the entire Liberty City adventure on your phone. This guide helps new mobile players get started.

🏦

Tip 1 — Customize Touch Controls

Go to Settings → Controls and adjust: increase the size of the fire/aim buttons, enable auto-aim, and turn on the accelerometer steering for vehicles if you prefer tilting over on-screen buttons.

💎

Tip 2 — Save Often (Manual Saves)

GTA III only saves at safe houses. After completing any mission, drive to your safe house and save. The game doesn't autosave, and dying means replaying from the last save.

🏆

Tip 3 — Use Cheats When Stuck

Some missions are much harder with touch controls. Use cheats to make them manageable:

  • GESUNDHEIT — Heal mid-mission
  • GIVEUSATANK — Tank makes driving missions trivial
  • NOPOLICEPLEASE — Remove wanted level during chases

Tip 4 — Learn Liberty City's Layout

The city has 3 islands that unlock progressively: Portland → Staunton Island → Shoreside Vale. Each island has its own safe house, garage, and hidden packages.
