Every Hidden Secret in GTA V
GTA V is packed with secrets, Easter eggs, and hidden locations that most players never discover. From a frozen alien under the ice to a ghost on Mount Gordo, Rockstar hid dozens of surprises across Los Santos and Blaine County.
Underwater Secrets
- Sunken UFO — At the bottom of the ocean north of Paleto Bay, there's a crashed alien spacecraft sitting on the ocean floor. You need a submarine or scuba gear to see it.
- Hatch from LOST — In the ocean near the eastern coast, there's a sealed hatch with a light inside, referencing the TV show LOST.
- Underwater Money Briefcases — Multiple $25,000 briefcases scattered on the seafloor. Farm these by switching characters. See our Money Locations Guide.
Mount Chiliad Mystery
- The Mural — At the top of Mount Chiliad, there's a mysterious drawing showing the mountain with an eye, UFO, and jetpack symbols. The community has debated its meaning since 2013.
- UFO Sighting — At 3:00 AM, during rain, with 100% completion, a UFO appears above Mount Chiliad. You can also see UFOs above Fort Zancudo and Sandy Shores.
Ghost of Mount Gordo
Between 11:00 PM and midnight, a ghostly female figure appears on the rocks at the peak of Mount Gordo. As you approach, she disappears. The word "JOCK" is written in blood on the rocks below. This references an unsolved murder in the game's lore.
Frozen Alien
In the opening prologue mission (North Yankton), there's a frozen alien body visible under the ice of a river. You can only see it during the very first mission of the game.
