• FOV: Open console (~) and type fov_desired 100 — default FOV is too narrow for flat-screen play
• Graphics: Set to High or Ultra — without VR overhead, your GPU has more headroom

• Save often: Some death sequences may crash without VR — Quick Save (F5) frequently
